A good wash and condition always goes a long way!

First wash hair using a moisturizing shampoo. If you are trying to get rid of build up of product or excess oils, a good clarifying shampoo would be more ideal! Always wash hair in a downward motion, as you would not want to tangle or knot up the hair by roughly scrubbing with no direction. Be sure to have all the shampoo distributed evenly throughout the hair.

Shampoo thoroughly for about 2-3 minutes. Rinse all the shampoo out, and repeat this process twice. Wring the hair out the best you can, you never want to apply conditioner in hair full of water! You want the conditioner directly on the hair. Again in a downward motion, applying the conditioner evenly throughout.

Use a wide tooth comb, starting from the ends, working your way up, combing all the conditioner through. Let this sit for about 5 minutes.

Rinse, rinse, rinse thoroughly! This step is very important. You do not want to leave conditioner residue in your hair, as it will have the hair oily, weighed down, and pasty feeling! This would ultimately affect the results of styling.
